their story: sandy springs engagement session
Leigh Anne is an Atlanta native and just finished her last semester at Kennesaw State University. She would like to pursue a career in commercial real estate upon graduating. Kurt was born in Ft. Lauderdale and moved to Georgia when he was five years old with his family. He is currently a Multi-Family salesperson at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services in Sandy Springs. Kurt and Leigh Anne met at Marcus & Millichap in Atlanta where they both started working in January 2014. A few weeks later at a company happy-hour the two started talking and quickly realized they were both Alabama fans. They started talking about their family and where they were living in the area. When Leigh Anne mentioned that she lived on her family’s property in Sandy Springs, Kurt mentioned that he had known a girl with a similar story. The next day while getting coffee in the office kitchen, Kurt said that the girl he was talking about was Caroline and asked Leigh Anne if she knew her. Shocked, Leigh Anne told him that was her older sister who had passed away in 2008. Just then she remembered how she had heard about “Kurt McGarry”; Caroline had interned with him during her last summer of high school in 2006 at Metro Brokers, a company that Leigh Anne’s grandfather started and where Kurt’s mom used to work at for many years. Leigh Anne remembered how Caroline would come home and share stories of goofing off at the office with Kurt at Metro Brokers. Ever since that day in the office kitchen, Kurt and Leigh Anne found a connection that began as a friendship, until their first date in February 2015. Now they excitedly anticipate the life they will share together!
Sandy Springs engagement session: family property
This was such a fun session full of laughter and beauty! We spent the evening at Leigh Anne’s family property in north Atlanta which is truly special as Kurt and Leigh Anne will also share their first home there together. Leigh Anne wore such a gorgeous open back summer dress, which really made her stand out amongst the nature backdrops we chose around the property. I absolutely love the spontaneous dancing by the lake and the way Kurt looks at his bride-to-be as they relaxed in the field on the family’s quilt! These two are so precious and I can’t over just how much fun they are and how well they compliment each other…they literally melt into each other’s arms and couldn’t shake a smile or giggle the whole evening! What a joy it will be to capture their wedding day in July!
