What a joy…
…it was to drive up to the North Georgia mountains to photograph this Florida couple’s destination wedding. Their closest friends and family were able to join them for a weekend get-away full of laughter, beautiful weather, and the union of their beloved Andrea and James! We could not have imagined greener trees and blue-er skies as we drove through the mountains to get to this hidden gem and retreat. Sugarboo Farms is nestled in the mountains, which as you can expect, gives you breath taking views! Sugarboo Farms was designed with weddings in mind, especially destination weddings; it has small cozy cottages throughout its grounds to accommodate guests for overnight stays, along with a delicately designed and tastefully decorated farmhouse that acts as the central hub for the farm. All of the wedding fun happened around the farmhouse with it’s three-level terraces that included; a balcony, fire pit, hammocks, and a turf landing for the ceremony, games, and dancing.
Andrea and James created such a comfortable and celebratory atmosphere, where everyone was pitching in to help make it their dream wedding day. They began the festivities by hitting the local farmer’s market early in the morning to buy freshly baked cakes and amazing flowers, with which they then designed all the floral decorations…aren’t they just stunning?! Family members and friends told Randall and I throughout the day how much Andrea and James meant to them; that they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world than at their wedding, helping to make it a fabulous day for them. They testified that no-one deserves to be served more than this couple, because of their kind, kind-hearts! These two met under rather providential circumstances when Andrea began teaching at the same school James’ worked at, back in 2010. She said she first set her eyes on James when she was getting her classroom set up at the beginning of the year and saw him down the hall helping other teachers in their classrooms – there was immediate attraction and a strong desire to get to know this man who displayed a servants heart towards others. James said that he knew she was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with when he was dying for her to say “I love you”! How true is that moment, when you realize you love someone so much and want to know that it’s reciprocated?!
This love story doesn’t begin with just these two; they were honored to have James’ daughter Jazzmin join in this celebratory union. The love between the three of them was evident and so so special. Because of Jazzmin’s precious life, this union is far more than 2 people committing their lives together, it was a family unit forming – one that’s bonded through love and inseparable! Cheers Andrea and James to a wonderful family-filled celebration and your new life journey as husband and wife! James, you have found a beautiful thing in your wife, the way she loves and cares deeply for others will impact your life forever.
